Hello! I’m a freelance science writer and editor based in Los Angeles. Wildly curious about nature, medicine, space, and the world at large, I love bringing great stories to life. Let’s connect!

About me

I specialize in news and magazine writing and editing, as well as academic and institutional communications. In May 2024, I completed a master's degree program in science writing through Johns Hopkins, during which I dusted off some old skills and learned new approaches to creative non-fiction.

I’ve held a variety of professional writing positions at academic institutions, nonprofits, and consumer publications where I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from social media copy and press releases to longform features and donor reports.

In addition, I’ve edited numerous publications, organized video shoots, overseen graphic design, developed a podcast, and much more. As an avid amateur photographer, I enjoy capturing unique shots that highlight urban nature and wildlife. (See samples below.)

I’m based in Los Angeles, but willing and available to travel for assignments.

Freelance clients include Nautilus, Caltech, City of Hope National Medical Center, Colgate University, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, among others. Select works are linked above and additional clips are available upon request. I’m an active member of the National Association of Science Writers and the Southern California Science Writers.
